We are very excited to begin our second year of the UCP Autism Center for Excellence at Sacramento State on Sept. 21!
Children, ages 8-12, with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder are eligible to attend this specialized after-school program that is helping children with autism learn how to interact with their peers and ultimately successfully engage in a variety of community activities.
There has been a 150 percent increase in autism diagnoses in the last five years, but this program is making sure these families feel less isolated and that their children will hopefully have the same opportunities as those without autism.
If you or someone you know has a child with autism, call us for more information at (916) 548-2562 or visit http://www.ucpsacto.org/ace.htm.
